May13th Meeting
Meeting starts at 4:30 pm and ends at 6:00 pm.
Have your girls bring whatever they want to add to the time capsule & an Address we can mail their invitations to for when we OPEN the time capsule in 10 years. This means it needs to be an address of family or close friend that will not be moving between now and then.
We are having the Brownies who are bridging to Juniors at this meeting, Our Juniors get to show them what we have done this year. Also, Cadette girl(s) to teach the girls something. These two things are required for the Junior girls who are earning the bridging badge.
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. It is going to be fun time together!

Clean up Canceled
Due to unforseen circumstances this morning we have canceled meeting for the Green River Clean Up. We are sorry for the inconvenience this brings. We will be doing another service project that is beautifying to our community to replace this event.
We look forward to seeing everybody at our upcoming meeting on Tuesday. A very important note. We are meeting at an earlier time on the 13th. We need to meet at 4:30pm at mansface to accommodate our guests. So our troop meeting will end at 6pm.
We hope that you all have a beautiful weekend. HAPPY Mother's Day to all our amazing Girl Scout Moms!

Meeting for 2013-2014 Girl Scout Season
For our last weekly troop meeting, we will be
working on things for our Bridging Ceremony. You need to attend this troop
meeting to obtain your official Bridging to Cadettes Badge. There are two
requirements for our 6 girls who will be in Cadettes next year. This will be an opportunity for our Junior
Girls to meet the Brownies that will be Juniors next season.
This week
we started on a Troop Time Capsule. We will be finishing that up next week with some very
lovely guests. We have asked the girls to be creative and make/add something
personal to the Time Capsule to add at our last meeting.
It
has been a busy few months with one more to go. Thanks to everyone for your
support and hard work! We look forward to having some fun through the summer as
we hope to have one event each month.
Any
Questions/Concerns Please let Tanya or Megan know.
*Please let us know if you would like us to
register your rl early for next
year. We hope that you all would like to

A GREAT BIG...
THANK YOU! For everyone's help and support through this cookie season. I cannot express enough how grateful we are to all the girls and parents for your hard work! We have basically sold out of cookies except for a few straggling Tagalongs and Do-si-does. If you have not turned in your cookies money to Tanya already, you must do so TODAY! Since our troop meeting was postponed last week(totally my bad, I was sick) to this week. You have a great opportunity to catch us at the meeting. Cookies are a lot of work, the girls learn loads of wonderful things and it makes a big difference for our troop. So again, Thank You!
I need to apologize for not being diligent about updating this the last month... I have had internet issues that have now been resolved.
We have lots of information for everyone with upcoming events. We have some awesome things still in store for our troop.
Dates to Remember:
Mom and Me Tea: has been moved to May 2nd @ 6pm-8pm being held at the Senior Center.
Arbor Day: May 3rd @ Collier Park we think the time is 10 am, but that still needs confirmation.
Green River Girl Scouts are donating three trees this year. Come help us celebrate this wonderful day!
City Clean Up: May 10th @ 8 am @ Green River Chamber. This is our last big event to finish up the Girl Scout Ways Patch. We would love to see everyone there. If your girl need a ride, please let me or Tanya know. Once we arrive and register we will be told where to go help.
Bridging Ceremony: May 17th @ Noon (location still to be determined) This is the transition for the girls to move up to the next level and celebrate their accomplishments this last year. Lunch will be served.
Troop Meetings:
Counting today we have only three troop meetings left for this season.
April 15th, April 29th & May 13th.
TBA: We will be planning a few Summer events, we were hoping for one fun event a month to keep the girls connected over the summer. These will also be part of their reward/goal for our awesome cookies season.
Early Registration
With the end of our Girl Scout Season wrapping up... we need to start thinking about next year. Early Girl Scout Registration is upon us. For the girls who want to continue in scouting next year we are happy to take care of this early registration for them.
For any parent/adults who would like to help out more we would love to have you register also. By registering you do not necessarily have to lead a troop(unless you want to be that wonderfully involved!). By registering you would be covered to help chaperone for events, fill in at meetings when one leader cannot attend, driving to events and/or helping with cookies. By being a registered adult in Girl Scouts you can help as little or as much as you would like. It is something to think about as your daughter continues on this journey in Girl Scouts.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like your daughter preregistered for next year. Even if you are unsure about next years plans, I highly recommend you have us preregister your daughter. It is always up to your daughter how involved in scouting she wants to be when the time comes.
Lastly, our troop currently has eight girls, six of which will be bridging up to the Cadette level. That leaves two girls at the Junior level for one more year. Typically with Girl Scouts as leaders we would bridge up with our girls and continue on this path with them. Because of our small service unit, the needs for all the troops are still being addressed. Once we have a for sure Early Registration count on the girls, we will determine what direction is best for the troop/girls. If you have any questions or concerns on this matter. Please talk to us, we would love your feedback.
Thank you everyone for being so fabulous. We love you all and look forward to seeing you SOON!
